Friends visit Moka and eat Chillie

Last week a lot of Chika's friends came over for a visit. They all took turns holding Moka which was great because Moka enjoys being held and walked around the house.

I cooked up a big batch of chillie for dinner. Chillie is not common in Japan because people don't know how to make it. Finding real chillie powder is like the quest for the holy grail.

Moka 1 month old Formal Photos

Here we have some pictures all dressed up. Moka wasn't enjoying the heat in the cute white dress so we took the pictures as fast as possible. Moka slept last night for about 4.5 hours in a row once, so we are all well rested today.

Picture of Moka and cats

Happy Moka after a bath, with me and Chika. The cats seem to think that the baby bed is their rightful new bed and they love sleeping in it. Chika also weighs Moka ever few days to keep track of everything (yesterday 4.45kg). We also have shots of me and Chika holding Moka after burping her because she looks cute in the shots. We'll have more next week. Moka likes to sport a Mohawk hair style recently.

Moka Day 7

Hello everyone this is Moka at one week old. Her name is writing in Kanji beside her. Chika's mom Yoshiko wrote Moka's name in Kanji using traditional paint brush and black ink called "fude to sumi"

Hello to My New Blog Hope ya like it.

I've started this blog in an effort to keep everyone around the world up to date with what me, Chika and baby Moka are doing.

As you all know I'm a terrible emailer. I check my email once every 2-15 days and write back days, weeks, or months after people email me. On the up side I never spend more than 15 minutes a week emailing or checking email which saves lots of time for doing real things.

This blog will have lots of pictures of the family and life around Japan. I will try to update it at least once a week. I hope everyone enjoys it.
